About the zone

A private zone, run like a utility

Tradewind was set up to give northern manufacturers and exporters what they could not get one plot at a time: steady power, clean customs and land with paperwork that holds.

Our job

We take the risk out of building in the north

The zone is owned by a group of northern investors and operated by a professional management team. We earn our keep from rent and service charges, so our interest is simple: keep tenants running, growing and exporting.

That means a zone engineer on call day and night, a customs office inside the gate, a fire station, water treatment and security that patrols the fence line. It also means saying no to projects that would harm the neighbours or the farmland around us.

Standards

Built to a published plan, not a promise

Our master plan, design code and service levels are published and written into every lease. If we miss a service level for power or water, the service charge comes down. Example terms for this demo.
