The race runs on you
We need 1,200 volunteers for marathon weekend. Free T-shirt, breakfast, a certificate of service, and the best view of the race.
Roles
Times for marathon day, 7 Feb 2027.
Water station
4.30am to 11am
Hand out water and keep the station clean. Our busiest role.
Course marshal
4am to 12.30pm
Guide runners at junctions and keep the course safe.
Medal team
7am to 1pm
Hang medals on finishers. The best smiles in Ibadan.
Expo and packs
Thursday or Friday
Hand out bibs, chips and T-shirts at the expo.
Kids Mile helper
Saturday 7am to 10am
Cheer, guide and reunite children with parents.
Photo spotter
5am to 12pm
Help photographers find runners by bib number.

Volunteer questions
Can a group volunteer together?
Yes. Schools, churches, mosques and clubs often take a whole water station. Put your group name on the form.
Do I get a certificate?
Every volunteer gets a certificate of service, useful for school and university applications.
How do I get there so early?
Volunteer shuttles leave Dugbe and Challenge at 3.45am on marathon morning.
