A drawn runway film: models in an ochre silk gown with a gele, an oxblood cape gown, an indigo adire coat and an ivory agbada walk towards the camera between rows of guests, under warm spotlights and camera flashes, with cuts between camera angles. It loops quietly and can be paused.
Scene 01, the collection
Couture, cut in Ibadan
Hand woven aso-oke, hand dyed adire and silk, made in our Agodi atelier. This is Ibadan at dusk, our autumn collection, on the runway.
Scene 02, Ibadan at dusk
Twenty four looks, one hour of light
The light over Mapo hall just before the call to prayer: ochre, oxblood and indigo, in silk, aso-oke and adire. Scroll the reel, then step into a look.
Scene 03, made by hand
Cloth with a memory
Every Saffira piece passes through three pairs of hands: a weaver in Iseyin, a dyer in Abeokuta and a cutter in our Agodi atelier.
Woven in Iseyin
Aso-oke on narrow looms, eight centimetres at a time, by families who have woven for generations.
Dyed in Abeokuta
Adire resist patterns drawn by hand in cassava paste, then dipped in indigo up to nine times.
Cut and finished in Agodi
Patterns cut to your measurements, hand finished seams and two fittings before you wear it.
Scene 04, to wear now
Ready to wear from the house
Made in small runs in our atelier, in UK sizes 6 to 20, altered free at the house.

What clients say
My gele sat perfectly for nine hours of dancing. Adunni pinned it twice at the fitting until it was right.
I ordered aso-ebi for 140 guests from London. Every bundle arrived labelled with the guest's name.
The agbada was cut to how I stand, not to a size. People asked who made it all night.
