A firm line between help and publishing

Our editorial services are run by a separate team of freelance editors. The submissions team does not see who has paid for a service, and using one gives no advantage. We say this plainly because some services elsewhere blur that line.

We built these services because writers asked us for honest, detailed feedback, and because many good books need one more draft before anyone says yes.

  • Freelance editors with at least ten books edited
  • Written report plus a call
  • Pay by card or transfer through Receivly
  • Full refund if we cannot start within two weeks

The assessment report was the most useful thing anyone has ever said about my writing. I rewrote the middle third and found an agent.

Questions

Will buying a service help me get published by Quillstone?

No. The two are kept apart on purpose.

Can I pay in instalments?

For the self-publishing package, yes: half to start and half on approval of the proofs.

Who are the editors?

Freelance editors who have worked with Nigerian and international publishers. Names on request.
