Makeup artistry, base to bride.
Twelve weeks on weekdays or twenty on weekends. Skin prep, base for every Nigerian skin tone, eyes, brows, bridal, editorial and gele, finishing with a timed bridal assessment on a live model.
What you learn
Module by module.
Skin prep and colour theory
Reading undertones from fair to deep, choosing foundation that holds in Abuja heat and under owambe lighting, and colour correction that does not grey the skin.
Base that lasts
Layering, setting and baking for a face that lasts twelve hours, with techniques for oily skin and humid days.
Eyes and brows
Cut crease, halo, smoked and soft eyes, lash application and brows drawn to suit the face rather than the trend.
Bridal
Traditional and white wedding looks, trial sessions, working on mothers and bridesmaids, and timing a morning of five faces.
Editorial and camera
Makeup for photo, video and flash, working with photographers and lighting, plus a styled shoot for your portfolio.
Gele and finishing
Tying gele and auto-gele, then the business basics: pricing, deposits, contracts and how to say no to a bad booking.
Kit

The diploma includes a professional kit worth about ₦140,000, yours to keep.

A face is not finished when it looks good in the mirror. It is finished when it still looks good at the end of the reception.
Questions
About this course.
Do I need to bring models?
No. We book live models for every practical day, and you also work on each other. For your final assessment you may bring your own model if you prefer.
Can I take foundation now and bridal later?
Yes. Many students do foundation, work for a few months, then return for bridal. The two together cost the same as the diploma less the kit.
Will I learn makeup for darker skin?
Most of our clients and models have medium to deep skin, so that is where most of the teaching happens. We also cover fair skin and albinism.
Is gele included?
Gele is part of the full diploma. On its own it is a one-week short course.
