Started with one castle and a borrowed van

Rakiya Danladi rented out her first bouncy castle in 2017 for a neighbour’s party in Barnawa. Today Hopscotch runs two trucks, a crew of eleven and over 2,000 chairs, from the same street.

Our story

Why we are called Hopscotch

Rakiya grew up playing hopscotch in the compound with her cousins, a stone and chalk squares on the ground. One square at a time, nobody left out.

That is how we plan parties. One square for seating, one for shade, one for play, one for treats, one for decor and one for power. Fill each square and nothing is forgotten on the day.

We still answer every WhatsApp ourselves, and Rakiya still checks the castle list before the trucks leave on Saturday morning.

Want to see the castle before you book? Visit the yard on Gwari Road, Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm. We can inflate a castle for you on weekday afternoons.
