A school with deep roots and wide horizons.
For nearly four decades, Brightwell has taught the children of Uyo to read widely, think clearly and carry themselves with grace. From the creche to the final year of secondary, every child is known by name.

Full calendarBefore you visit
Is Brightwell a faith school?
No. We welcome families of every faith and none. Pupils learn about the faiths of Nigeria with respect, and there is a quiet room for prayer.
What curriculum do you follow?
The Nigerian national curriculum, with British-style English, maths and science courses added from Year 1, and GCSE and A level style options in senior school.
What happens when power goes off?
The campus runs on a solar and battery system with a generator as backup. Classrooms, labs and boarding houses stay lit and cool.
How big are classes?
No more than 22 in primary and 24 in secondary, with a teaching assistant in every early years and lower primary class.
