A fascinating inquiry into curiosity, creativity, and the cognitive architecture behind our greatest discoveries.
Rich in atmosphere and written with real tenderness, The Curious Mind is a non-fiction story that rewards slow reading. Alex Rivers draws characters you will recognise and a world you will want to return to, making it a natural choice for book clubs, gifting and quiet evenings alike.
Our booksellers say: a warm, absorbing read that lingers well after the final page.

Could not put it down
I started The Curious Mind on a Sunday afternoon and finished it the same night. Alex Rivers writes with such warmth that the characters felt like old friends by the final chapter.

The prose is lyrical without ever feeling heavy. A perfect non-fiction read and one I have already passed on to my sister.

Gently paced in the middle, but the ending more than made up for it. The sense of place is wonderful and I could picture every scene.
