Five words you will hear from us
kVA
The size of an inverter or generator. Roughly, 1 kVA powers 800 watts of appliances.
kWh
Energy over time. A 1,000 watt load for one hour uses 1 kWh.
Surge
The extra power a motor needs for a moment when it starts.
Depth of discharge
How much of a battery you can use. Lithium allows about 90 percent.
Hybrid
An inverter that handles grid, solar and battery together.
