About the role
Our client is a Series B fintech in Victoria Island processing card and transfer payments for 4,000 merchants. The finance team of six is growing to nine this year. You will own month end close for two of the group's three entities and be the first point of contact for the external auditors.
What you will do
- Run month end close for two entities and deliver management accounts by working day 7
- Reconcile settlement accounts with partner banks daily
- Prepare VAT and withholding tax schedules for the tax adviser
- Support the annual audit and respond to auditor queries
- Improve controls on merchant refunds and chargebacks
What you bring
- Qualified or part qualified accountant, ICAN or ACCA
- Three to five years in finance, ideally payments or banking
- Strong spreadsheet skills, comfortable with cloud accounting
- Calm under month end pressure, clear writer
