A family pharmacy that grew with Abuja
Calvane opened in Wuse 2 in 2011 with one counter and two pharmacists. Today we serve thousands of families across five branches.
Our story
Started by two pharmacists
Pharmacists Ngozi and Ibrahim Calvane-Musa opened the first store because they wanted a pharmacy where people felt comfortable asking questions. The name stayed, the counter grew, and the habit of explaining everything never left.
We now employ 18 pharmacists and 60 staff, deliver across the city and still answer the phone ourselves.

How we look after what we sell
Licensed suppliers
We buy only from licensed distributors and keep batch records for every delivery.
Temperature control
Air-conditioned stores and monitored fridges with backup power.
Expiry checks
Shelves checked monthly. Anything close to expiry is removed.

Every staff member is trained on safe sales and when to call the pharmacist.

In the community
Health checks on the weekend
Every last Saturday of the month, our pharmacists run free blood pressure and weight checks at a market or church compound in Abuja. In 2026 we have visited Wuse Market, Garki Village and Karu.
We also donate first aid kits to schools that ask.
