ND, HND or certificate?

Three ways in, depending on where you are now.

Two years after secondary school, with four months of SIWES industrial training. Entry with five O level credits and a UTME score.

HND

Two more years after an ND and at least a year of work experience. The level employers ask for in engineering and surveying roles.

Certificate

Twelve to sixteen weeks of evenings or weekends. For working people who need one skill well, with no UTME needed.

Half practicalAbout half of every ND timetable is in a lab, workshop or studio.

Can I change programme after I start?

Within the same school, yes, during the first four weeks of the first semester if there is space.

Do evening and weekend students get the same diploma?

Yes. The diploma and transcript are the same; only the timetable changes.

Is there a January intake?

For the short certificates, yes. ND and HND programmes start in October.

Can I study an HND without an ND?

No. You need an ND, usually at lower credit or above, and a year of industrial experience.
