Artwork that prints well
Five checks that save a reprint. If this is new to you, send what you have. We check every file free and tell you what to change.
01 Bleed and safe zone
Leave room for the knife
Guillotines cut within a millimetre or so. Colour that runs to the edge needs 3 mm of bleed beyond the trim, and words need 3 mm of space inside it.
02 The five checks
- Bleed added3 mm on all sides for anything that touches the edge
- CMYK colourScreens glow in RGB. Paper does not. Convert, or we will and show you the change
- 300 dpi imagesPhone photos are usually fine at small sizes. Images from social media are not
- Fonts outlinedOr embedded in the PDF, so your words stay your words
- One page per sideFront and back as separate pages, in reading order for booklets
03 File types
What to send
- Best: print ready PDF with bleed
- Good: AI, EPS, PSD or high resolution PNG
- Fine: a Word file or a clear phone photo, we will rebuild it
- Banners: files at a tenth of full size are fine, at 1000 dpi
Send on WhatsApp up to 100 MB, or by email for larger files.
04 We design for you
No file? No problem
Our in house designer works from a sketch, a photo of an old card or a voice note. Every design includes two rounds of changes.

05 Proofing
How proofs work
- A digital proof on WhatsApp within four working hours
- Printed proof for runs over ₦150,000, free
- Nothing goes on press until you reply with the word approved
- Spelling is your responsibility, but we flag anything that looks wrong
06 File questions
Asked at the counter
My colours look different on paper. Why?
Screens make colour from light, paper from ink. Bright greens and blues dull a little. We can print a colour proof first.
Can you print a picture from my phone?
Usually yes for cards and flyers. For posters and banners we will check the size and tell you honestly.
Do you keep my files?
Yes, for two years, so reorders are quick. Ask and we will delete them.
Can I use a photo I found online?
Only if you have the right to use it. We can suggest free photo sources or take a simple product photo at the counter.
