Advice
Tips from our events manager
Ten to a round
Rounds of ten are easiest to serve and best for conversation. Long tables suit family-style Walima dinners.
Elders near the high table
Seat grandparents close to the couple, away from the speakers.
Speakers face away
We point the sound away from the elders and toward the dance floor.
Separate seating
A partition down the centre works best with the high table on the dividing line, so both sides see the couple.
FAQ
Planner questions
Is the plan exact?
It is close. Our events manager adjusts for pillars, doors and the caterer's serving stations.
Can my decorator use it?
Yes. Send it to us and we share it with your decorator and caterer.
What is low seating?
Cushions and low tables for a relaxed Kamu or henna evening, about eight guests to a set.
