OCT and retinal imaging.
OCT builds a cross-section of the retina in seconds, helping us monitor conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye changes and macular problems over time. Images are saved so each visit can be compared with the last.

Glaucoma
Checks for people at higher risk.
Glaucoma often has no early symptoms. If you are over 40, have a family history, or have diabetes or high blood pressure, ask about yearly pressure, field and OCT checks. We refer to an ophthalmologist when results suggest it.
- Eye pressure measured with a gentle air puff or a numbing drop
- Visual field test to map side vision
- OCT of the optic nerve
- Results explained and saved for comparison
Questions
About our services.
Do I need a referral?
No, for examinations, contact lenses and scans. For specialist ophthalmology, a letter from your optometrist or doctor helps but is not required.
Do you accept HMOs?
Yes, several HMO plans cover eye examinations. Frames and lenses may be partly covered. Bring your card and we will check.
Can I drive after my appointment?
If we use drops to widen your pupils, your vision may be blurred for a few hours. Bring sunglasses and consider a driver.
