How we weigh
You pay for gas, not for air
Short filling is the most common complaint in Lagos gas. Our five step routine makes it impossible to hide.
- Tare check
Every cylinder has its empty weight stamped on the collar. We read it out and set the scale to it.
- First weighing
We weigh your cylinder as it arrives. Anything above the tare is gas you already paid for, and we do not charge for it again.
- Fill in the open bay
Filling happens outside, under a roof, with no flames, phones or engines within six metres.
- Second weighing
The cylinder goes back on the scale. The difference is the gas you pay for, rounded down to the nearest 0.1kg.
- Seal and soap test
We test the valve with soapy water, fit a new seal and hand over your receipt by WhatsApp.
Paying
Transfer, POS or cash
Bank transfer
Send to the depot account on your WhatsApp receipt. Riders wait for the alert before they leave your cylinder.
POS at the gate
Riders carry a POS terminal. No extra charge for cards.
Cash at the depot
Exact change helps on busy Saturday mornings, but we always have change.
Monthly account
Canteens and offices can pay monthly. Ask for a statement on WhatsApp.
Questions
Refill questions we hear every day
Why is my price lower than the table?
The table assumes an empty cylinder. If there is gas left in yours, we only charge for what we add. Use the slider in the tool to see the difference.
Can you fill a cylinder that is out of date?
No. Every cylinder carries a test date on the collar. If it is more than five years past that date, we will not fill it and we can sell you a new one or arrange a retest.
Do you fill small camping bottles?
We fill 3kg and larger. Very small bottles need a different valve, which we do not stock.
Is the rate the same on weekends?
Yes. We change the rate only when our supply price changes, and we post it on Monday.
What if my cylinder is rusty or dented?
We inspect every cylinder before filling. A badly rusted or dented cylinder is not safe to fill, and we will show you why.
