Cart status

Our story

One cart, three wheels, a lot of mornings.

Bean Theory started in 2021 when Zainab Musa, a lab scientist, built a cart from a tricycle frame and a second hand espresso machine, and parked it outside her estate gate in Gwarinpa.

What we believe

Coffee rules on the cart.

  1. Fresh or nothing. Beans rested two days, used within three weeks.
  2. Fair to farmers. We buy Mambilla coffee direct from a growers' cooperative.
  3. Clean as we go. Every surface wiped after every rush.
  4. Show up. If we say Tuesday in Gwarinpa, we are there, rain or shine.

Names and figures are invented for this demo.

Questions

About us.

Why a cart and not a café?

Rent in Abuja is high and people are spread out. A cart lets us go to them.

Are you hiring?

We train new baristas twice a year. Send a message on WhatsApp.

Where do you roast?

At our base on Third Avenue, Gwarinpa, every Sunday afternoon.
