How to read a label
Number, name, materials, price
Every label on our wall carries the same four lines. The number is how we find the piece in our pattern book, so you only need to send that number on WhatsApp. The name is ours, usually from the person who first asked for it. The materials line tells you exactly what you are buying. The price is an example price for the standard size.
Want a different size or colour? That is a commission, and the price changes only if the bead count changes a lot.
What we string with
Materials, honestly described
Glass seed beads
Small, even beads in strong colours. Most of our strands use them because they sit flat and last for years.
Recycled glass
Made by melting old bottles and pressing them in moulds. Each bead is slightly different, which we love.
Coral style resin
We do not sell real coral. Our coral style beads keep the look of the old palace sets at a fair price.
Natural stone
Turquoise style, agate and jasper for long necklaces. Heavier, so we string them on nylon coated wire.
Brass and gilt findings
Clasps, spacers and end caps in brass. They darken gently with time and polish back with a soft cloth.
