A pressure washer on wet ground next to a car

About

Started with
one hose

Tidewater began in 2017 as a bucket and a hose by the roadside. Today it is four bays, a lounge and a team of fourteen. Example story for this demo.

01 Our story

From roadside to four bays

Our founder washed cars by the gardens on weekends while studying. Customers kept asking for a proper place with shade and a fair price, so in 2020 Tidewater moved to Secretariat Road with two bays.

The foam lane and valet room came next. The promise stayed the same: hand wash, honest prices and no waiting around without knowing why.

02 Water and power

Every drop counts

Borehole and filters

Soft, filtered water from our own borehole, so no chalky spots and no tanker queues.

Reclaim tanks

Rinse water settles and filters through three tanks. About seventy percent comes back to the pre wash.

Solar and inverter

Pumps, lights and the lounge run on solar by day. The generator only starts after dark.

03 The team

Fourteen washers, one standard

Every washer trains for four weeks before touching a customer car, starting with our own staff cars. Names are examples for this demo.

Kunle

Founder. Still washes a car every Saturday morning.

Bisi

Runs the kiosk, the queue and the fleet accounts.

Segun

Head of the valet room and paint correction.

Work with us

Join the crew

We hire twice a year. Paid training, two meals a day and a share of the tips.

  • Four weeks paid training on our own cars
  • Shifts that end before dark for washers who want them
  • A path to the valet room after six months
