Pastoral care
Safe, well and known
Care is everyone’s job here: house staff, tutors, the nurse, the counsellor and the prefects trained to notice.

Who looks after your child
A circle of care
Tutor
Meets your child weekly and writes to you every fortnight.
House staff
Live in the house and know every pupil by name.
Sanatorium
A nurse on call day and night and a visiting doctor twice a week. We call you for anything more than a bruise.
Counsellor
Private conversations, any day, no appointment needed.
Welfare lead
A trained safeguarding lead and a clear policy shared with every family.
Dietitian
Menus planned for growing bodies and special diets.
Health
What the sanatorium does
Routine care, first aid and medicines prescribed by your own doctor, given at the right times. For anything serious, pupils go to a nearby hospital with a member of staff and you are called at once.
We do not promise outcomes. We promise attention and a phone call.

Speaking up
How a pupil raises a worry
Tell any adult
Every member of staff is trained to listen and pass it on.
Use the worry box
In every house, read daily by the welfare lead.
Message home
Parents can raise a concern in the portal at any hour.
Can my child bring medicine?
Yes, handed to the nurse with your doctor’s note. It is kept and given at the right times.
What about allergies?
Recorded on admission, shared with the kitchen and house staff, and reviewed each term.
How do you handle homesickness?
With routine, buddies and a call home. Most pupils settle within three weeks.
