Daniel Okoro signs a three year deal
The playmaker from Onitsha takes the number 10 shirt. He says the walk out at Monarch Park made up his mind.
Daniel Okoro has signed a three year contract with Monarch FC and will wear the number 10 shirt from Saturday's game against Uyo Coastline.
The 23 year old attacking midfielder grew up in Onitsha and spent four seasons at a rival club's academy before two years in the Premier Division. He has eleven assists in his last thirty games.
"I watched a game here last season from the East Stand," Okoro said. "When the team came out of the tunnel and the North End started, I knew this was the place."
Head coach Anayo Nwafor sees him as the link between Ikenna Obi in midfield and Somto Nwankwo up front. "He finds pockets nobody else sees. He will make Somto better."
Okoro's shirt is available to print in the club shop from today.
