Four academy graduates handed first contracts
Chinonso Ude, Collins Nwosu, Obinna Ezeh and David Okeke all came through Saturday school. Now they are first team players.
Four players from the Monarch Academy have signed their first professional contracts, taking the number of academy graduates in the first team squad to eight.
Winger Chinonso Ude, 20, and forward Collins Nwosu, 18, have already played this season. Centre back Obinna Ezeh, 20, and goalkeeper David Okeke, 19, have trained with the first team since August.
All four first came to the academy through a Saturday trial, between the ages of nine and twelve. Two of them held bursary places.
Academy director Chuka Odo said: "These boys did their homework at our homework club, played in the rain and listened. We are proud of them and of their families."
The next academy trial is on Saturday 15 November for ages 9 to 16.
