Care and safety
Safe hands,
warm hearts
Everything parents ask about: who looks after your child, how we check who collects them, what happens if they feel unwell, and how we keep the rooms clean and cool.
- Pick up codes
Each family gets a code card. Anyone collecting must be on your list and show the code. No code, no collection, even for relatives.
- Checked and trained carers
Every carer has references checked, a police report and paediatric first aid training renewed every two years.
- A locked gate and a sign in book
One entrance with a guard, a sign in book and CCTV on the gate and garden.
- Unwell children
We call you at once. Medicine is only given with your written consent and the original labelled pack.
- Clean, every day
Toys washed daily, rooms mopped twice a day, nappy areas disinfected after every change.
- Power, water and cool rooms
Solar with inverter keeps fans and the fridge on. Drinking water is filtered and boiled.
The team
Nine carers, one cook, one guard
Most of our carers have been with us for more than three years. Names are examples for this demo.
Health and food
Fed well, cared for well
- Allergy chart in the kitchen and every room, with photos
- No nuts in the building, including in packed snacks
- Hand washing before every meal and after the garden
- Medicine stored locked, logged and signed for
- An accident book you sign at pick up if there is a bump or graze
We are a care setting, not a clinic. For medical advice, please speak to your doctor.
Safety questions
Ask us anything
Can I watch my child on a camera?
CCTV covers the gate and garden for safety. We do not stream rooms online, to protect every child privacy.
What happens in an emergency?
Every carer knows the fire and evacuation plan. We practise it each term and call parents straight away.
Can a driver collect my child?
Yes, if they are on your list, have your code and you message us that morning.
How do you handle biting or hitting?
Calmly. We look for the cause, help the children make up and tell both families the same day.
Admit one family
Come and see us on a weekday morning
Visits take about 40 minutes. Meet the carers, see the rooms and ask anything.
