Price a gate
A welder working on metal in daylight

05About

Fifteen years at the same anvil

Emeka Nwosu opened Ironclad Works on Cable Point in 2011 with two welders and a borrowed generator. Today a team of fourteen builds about ninety gates a year.

01Our story

Built like the old gates

Emeka learnt to weld in his uncle’s shop in Onitsha, where gates were built heavy and expected to last a lifetime. When he came to Asaba he found gates that sagged in two years.

So Ironclad builds the old way, with modern tools. Box frames that do not twist, hinges set in concrete, and paint over proper primer. We would rather lose a job on price than build one we would be ashamed of.
