Have an idea for Firstlight
We commission two new weekend shows a year.
We look for shows that sound like Port Harcourt: local voices, real stories, and music people here actually love. Send a one page idea and a three minute voice note to the programmes team.
Community groups, churches and schools can also apply for a free half hour slot on Sunday afternoons.

About our shows
Are the shows live?
Yes, from 5am to midnight. Overnight is a mix put together by the night crew.
Can I get a recording of a show?
Talk shows are on the podcasts page. For other shows, email the office within 30 days.
Do you play local artists?
Yes. At least half the music on daytime shows is by Nigerian artists, and every week we feature a Rivers act.
