Our storyA beach where nobody expected one
In 2019 this shore was reeds and a footpath. A family from Kaduna saw what it could be: a place where Abuja could rest without a flight.
Seven years, one shore
2019
The land is cleared by hand and 1,200 palms are planted.
2021
The first 24 rooms open, with the Driftwood deck.
2023
Six overwater villas and the spa open.
2026
Seventy rooms, three pools and more than 300 weddings.
The team
Atlantica employs 210 people, 80% from the FCT and Niger State. Every role has a training path, and our head chef started as a kitchen porter.
Hauwa, guest services lead, and Daniel, head of lake activities.
Looking after the lake
Clean water
We treat all our wastewater on site and test the lake every month.
Solar first
A 600 kW solar field covers most daytime power.
Native planting
Palms, frangipani and local grasses that need little water.
